The Jibhi & Tirthan Valley tour is the offbeat 2-night break into the unspoilt Seraj valley: an overnight Volvo from Delhi to Aut, a Jibhi waterfall walking trail, a Jalori Pass day with the short Serolsar Lake trek, and a Great Himalayan National Park riverside walk before the drop back to Aut. It is the shortest way to reach the quieter, forested side of Himachal away from the main hill-station crowds.
This suits two adults who want waterfalls, a high pass and a riverside forest walk over the usual Mall Road circuit. Palyatra arranges the Volvo tickets, the Aut–Jibhi transfer, the Jibhi guesthouse and the Jalori/Tirthan day in one private cab so the only on-the-day decisions are how far to walk.
Best time: April to June and September to November for open roads to Jalori Pass; the pass closes intermittently in heavy snow. Carry warm layers and walking shoes.
